This morning I was rushing home from work that way I could hurry and change and then go to school. Well, it didn't help that there was a cop right in front of me. Cuz,... well you don't want to pass up the cop, because you get paranoid as it is just driving the speed limit...hoping that the cop doesn't find something wrong with your driving. So I was behind him and he was turning on every street that I wanted to go on...so I had to lolligag behind him. So then we get into the left lane and stop at the red light, waiting to turn left. And there is only one lane to turn left from.... and that's where I met a dillemma. The green arrow popped up brilliantly and I was READY to go...with my house just about a block around that corner....and the cop doesn't move! Like, he wasn't paying attention or something and I could tell that he was staring off into the distance, daydreaming (of doughnuts probably). So I was just about to honk my horn like I would in a normal situation, but then I realized...SHOULD I? Doesn't it say in the DMV manual to only honk if there is someone making a careless and dangerous entrance into your lane? Plus, I didn't want him to think I was being hostile, and then have him follow me home trying to figure out any driving mistakes I could be making. So, I just gripped my steering wheel tight and refrained from honking, while in my head I was thinking, "GO! GO! GO! GO! AHHHHHHH! I have to beat school-parking lot traffic!" Finally, after about 15 excruciating seconds, he realizes and goes. So... that was my dillemma for the day. To honk or not to honk (at police), THAT is the frikkin' question.
Later during my first class, American History, my professor was asking "Have you guys ever been to any bars in San Fransisco?" We were like... "no." Then he was like, "You guys need to go! I should take you! One of the 3 great American bars is Buena Vista. Anyone been there?" hahaha. So... for the first 15 minutes of class he was telling us all the plus sides of going to bars and encouraging us to go to "Buena Vista." What kind of professor does that!? Hahaha. Well, that made the class a little exciting so I'll take it for what it was worth.
Currently in Bio, we're studying cancer and cell growth. Did you know that 87% of all lung cancer cases are caused by smoking and 30% of all deaths from any cancer are from smoking! Smoking sucks! Why the hell do people smoke? Maybe people don't realize how sucky lung cancer is.... 60% of all with lung cancer die within 1 year, and 75% of all die within 2 years. MOST PEOPLE DIE WITHIN 2 YEARS of being diagnosed! More people die from lung cancer than from any other type of cancer.... So I think again, what are the pros and cons of smoking? Cons: 1. quickens the deterioration of skin, causing wrinkles. 2. Creates a constant cough. 3. Increases chances of pneumonia and bronchitis. 4. Inhibits nerve cells. 5. When you don't smoke in a while, you get withdrawals. 6. It makes you retain a smell which is peutrid to most. 7. You get lung cancer from it, and you die soon after. Okay, now for the pros: you can blow smoke from your mouth and nostrils. So why do people smoke? That will be the one question that cannot be answered with logical rationality.
As for my Critical Thinking class, it's become an art class. It is physically impossilbe to stay focused in that class and to listen to the professor's lesson. So,... everyone resorts to doodling. You'd be amazed at how many people doodle. Just about the entire class draws until class ends. I thought that the class would be intriguing and exciting, but SURPRISE!, it isn't.
I hate tomorrow.... I HATE TUESDAYS.
