I loved today. It was SO good and full of newness. You know that energizing feeling you get when you get to be a part of something new? That's how I felt this entire day!

So it started out kinda crappy... waking up at 5:50 AM -in the middle of the night- to be at class at 7AM. I got to class a little late, and it's always a little awkward walking into a lecture hall late because the 170-sum students stare at you. Yea, they don't really give a crap, but they still stared and I felt a little embarrassed. So I was moseying down one of the rows past people and start to get settled, but then I noticed someone in the row in front of me. It was one of my friends, Maggie, from my church! She waved for me to sit next to her so I walked back past people, into the isle, and over to where she was. So...we didn't talk, well, except for small comments and jokes, because the room is like REALLY silent and the professor was lecturing about plate tectonics and ...yea, so there wasn't a good chatting atmosphere. I also met her friend, that was sitting next to her, but I didn't catch the name. I know that Maggie kinda whispered it to me, but I forgot. Her friend was really nice and outgoing too. So it wasn't awkward talking to her after class ended. ... I hate when people maintain the awkwardness even after introduction, as if it'll always be that way. Anyways, so that class lecture was pretty boring and tiresome and when you're bored your mind either finds something else to interest it, or you fall asleep. My curious mind went off observing random things.... Like this guy sitting in front of me had his left pinky fingernail painted pink. It was weird. And it was an asian guy, ya know? Like one of those people that you don't expect to do that because they look a little too conservative for that. SO weird.

That class ended at 8:15 AM and was my last class for the day. THANK GOD! So, in my spare time before DISCOVER FEST began, I walked over to some random shops on the campus, by the book store and I bought colored contacts! I don't even wear contacts regularly and I felt like doing something new, so I bought them! They're purple/amethyst in color. That should mix pretty well with the brown in my eyes.... right?

Okay, so then DISCOVER FEST started. I met a lot of new people at the Campus Crusades table and I met up with Kevin and Kathy to do our "rounds" at every table. I got tons of FREE stuff! I love free stuff. Who doesn't!!? Here's what I got for free: Coffee mug, pens, stapler, calculator keychain, 2 wrist sweatbands, cappuccino flavored jelly beans, a journal thing, a christian CD, and a feminist pin! So some of the things that I'm very interesting in being a part of are the Honors Society and Committee, the University Honors Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Public Relations Student Society or America, the Titan Tusk Force, and ASI-student leadership. Some of the random things that I joined today, just because I could and because they were unique were the Feminist Club and Chinese Friends Group (AKA Fob club). Afterwards, Kevin and I walked Kathy back to her class in University Hall and then went to the Village of Orange to see Jen Soh working at Hallmark.

On the way, I stopped for gas at a station where the gas prices hadn't risen yet. Today, gasoline prices rose 40 cents per gallon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF! That's SO much money. Some stations are now selling Unleaded gas for $3.40 per gallon! It's time for hybrid electric cars to rule over society. haha.

So I was driving from the station, and there was this HUGE, and I mean GARGANTUAN beetle that flies through my car. It was bigger than my thumb! SO BIG! So when I finally parked at the mall, I grabbed it and through it out of my car. ...Then I closed the door and realized that I locked my keys inside. Oh well....I was at the mall. So, I went to Hallmark and met with Kevin to see Jen working. She's SO like...situated. She knows how it all works, so it seems. She had us fill out "savings cards" because she makes 35 cents for each card that she gets made. YAY! Since Kevin and I don't shop there, we had Jen use our cards on others' purchases when they came in to buy stuff. We get certificates for every 30 dollars spent, or something like that. So us three went to eat lunch in the food court. Kevin and I split one of those mongolian bbq plates and Jen got food from Busy Bee. After lunch, I called my parents to have someone open my car and my mom starts lecturing me about always having my keys in my posession because in that way, I'll never loose them. ugh. So my dad came and saved me.

Then I went to work...

Then I went to watch Sin City at CSUF for free in the TITAN THEATRE! That movie was... different. You can read my review on "the CRITIC." At one part of the movie, one of the characters was kinda in a trance sort of state and had fought in a cat-like matial artsy style. Someone yelled out "Harry Potter" and everyone laughed hysterically because, he actually kinda looked like Harry Potter. That comment was immediately followed by "FRODO!" Again, pretty funny. Just imagine Harry Potter doing cat-like martial arts...

Then, home for me...

Today is my 16th month anniversary with Joanna! Yay! can you believe it? 16 months! It seems like time has flown by. It's awesome.

Joanna, I love you and miss you dearly. Thank you for the past 16 months and all the good times... dates, dinner, movies, theme parks, and all of the fun that we always have. Thank you for being understanding and patient at many times. We've had a few small problems, or obstacles in our way, but we've talked through them and have gotten to where we are now. There are so many things that I'm grateful for and I hope that I express that daily through our phone conversations. I love you. I miss you.

Jay.
