Hey guys, I've been pretty busy ...so here's a little recap on the last few days: Friday night I went to the Irvine Spectrum with a few of my high school buddies. We ate at Johnny Rockets....overpriced food, but a cool place to hang out. It's a 1950's diner style restaurant. Ya know, one of those places that blacks wouldn't have been able to enter back in the day... All the pictures had "AMERICAN" looking people -like presidential-looking- and Coca Cola. haha. Well I got me some chicken tenders and a stawberry chocolate shake. mmmm... it was SO good! After dinner we walked around a little more, saw some weird electric violin players performing, and then split to Steven Morris's Newport beachhouse where we ended the game with a card game that was confusing as heck and random internet videos. NO IT WASN'T PORN!
Saturday, Lauren Beale and I put together a movie night! She provided the house, drinks, and brownies, and I took care of the Pizza and DVDs. We watched Harold and Kumar go to White Castle and then Old School, and then the last 3/4ths of School of Rock. Everything worked out well. Movie-night also included: popcorn tossing, blanket tug-of-war, pillow fighting, and denim tearing (unplanned).
Today, has been pretty boring. Church. Laundry. Homework. Reading. Finding out that I have a six page paper due on Wednesday. AHHHH!
Can you believe that it's already been 4 years since the September 11th airplane crashes in 2001!? Today is it's anniversary and I wonder how many people remembered- other than those who suffered from losses in that horrific tragedy. Does anyone remember? Has anyone put there flag outside to express patriotism? Has anyone cried, reflecting on our countries loss? Or is everyone forgetful, apathetic, and calloused to harsh memories. I think that one of the greatest crimes is apathy, and we are all guilty of it at one time or another. How do we see or reflect on the events where many lives have been taken away without even the slightest flinch. We have it SO good, and we don't even realize it. Us Californians haven't had many terrorist attacks and haven't experieced any devastating, catastrophic natural disasters. But I don't think that THAT is a right not to share the pain of others' suffering.
Lesson for the day: Care.
