Have you ever felt like you hate what you have to be, because it's right? For example: Optimism. It's a great quality to have because it brings you up along with those around you. And, studies have proven that the majority of the population likes to hang around with those who are optimistic and uplifting. Now for something not "right:" Pessimism. It makes you seem depressed, people don't want to hang around you for a good time...the only reason they're there is to be a "friend" and to try to snap you back into the optimistic life. Now, although it seems quite easy to see that optimism would be the better choice compared to pessimism, when you add up the pros and cons, don't you ever feel like you still want to choose pessimism? Just to be a rebel. Just to get out of the ordinary optimistic world for awhile. Just to suffer....because. That's a good word. "Because." That was the answer to everything when we were little. "Why don't you want to eat you meatloaf Johnny?" "Because." "Why not?" "JUST BECAUSE!" Well, I guess when you grow up, you have to have actual motives instead of allowing yourself to be led completely by feelings or mood swings. Anyways, that brings me back to the topic. Wouldn't it be nice just to not be or do what's right... just because. I'm not promoting this type of thought proccess, because I'm pretty sure that's how you get cerial killers and crazy people... What I'm getting at is that it wouldn't it be a revelation? I think that when you tired of the same old- same old, sometimes you have the inborn feeling to rebel against yourself and what is "right" just to open your eyes to the reasons for why you act the way you act, with optimism for example, and to reveal how much better it was to be the person that maintained virtues and used rationale at each step in life. Then, you would stand unshaken and unconfusable, knowing who you are and why. You'd know why you chose to be the better man(/woman).

As for Optimism, the same goes for any of the following and more: Understanding, Encouragement, Morality, Joy, Hope, Patience, and Love...etc.
As for the Pessimism part, choose any antonym from the list above.

Sorry to those of you who read this and are thinking that this entry was too profound, crazy, deep, or insensible for your taste.
